Our Nylon Valves are available in ¾” and 1” female thread.
Are the Nylon Valves normally closed?
Yes, when set on the auto position the Nylon Valve will open only when powered on.
What are the O, AUTO, C positions on the Nylon Valve?
O - Is the open position, when set to this position the valve will be opened and allow water to flow through freely. Auto - Is the automatic position, when set to this position the valve will not allow any water to flow through until it is powered on. C - Is the closed position, when set to this position the valve will not allow any water to flow through even if the valve is connected to a power source and powered on.
How tightly should I turn the Nylon Valve when installing and should I use a teflon tape (plumbers tape).
No more than a 1/2 turn past once you feel it is tight. Wrap it 6-8 times with Teflon tape.
Can the Nylon Valve or solenoid help prevent a siphon?
Yes, the nylon valves will prevent a siphon. They are normally closed valves. When set to the auto position they will only open when powered on. Is it normal for the Nylon Valve to make a clicking sound when powered on?
What powers or turns on the Nylon Valve?
They need to be connected or hard wired to a power source such as an irrigation controller or 24V adapter/timer combo and set in the auto position.
